Marije Dijkstra is a textile artist and designer working with the practice of natural dyeing and weaving. Her work engages with the research on the relationships between textile and landscape aiming for sustainable design practices that give the landscape agency in the design process.

By enhancing a deeper understanding of the relationships between textiles and the landscape, we can uncover innovative approaches that not only utilize the landscape for materials but also actively integrate it into the broader principles of sustainable design practices.

With her work she aims to raise awareness on the value of local materials, sustainability and the preservation of natural landscapes. Her work meditates on the delicate balance between nature and humanity, encouraging us to reconnect with the land.
